MEET OUR TEAM
Saturday - is a training day with Bow in at 12pm for adults and 2pm for senior graded junior students. Training consists of short activity sessions that vary from grading to grading and goes until late afternoon. These sessions are a great oppertunity for students to train with instructors and students from other dojos.
Sunday - training begins for adults at 7:30am with a 1 hour morning session. This entails a warm up run or walk encompassing a light yoga routine 'salute to the sun' to loosen up sore and tired muscles from the previous day. This is followed by a short training session until breakfast at 8:30am.
At 9:30am the grading commences for all students with a traditional Senjo Bow in and follows through until belt presentation in the mid afternoon. In order to obtain their new belt students must be able to demostrate satisfactory ability in a range of techniques and fitness requirements designated to their grade level, participate in a number of rounds of sparring and also present their grade kata to the black belts.
